Weston Creek is a district of Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia which lies west of the Woden Valley district. Belconnen and Tuggeranong lie to the north and southeast respectively. Stromlo Forest, a pine plantation, used to lie to the west before a bushfire in January 2003 destroyed it; that land is currently being redeveloped.

Weston was named after a former homestead built in the area sometime around 1835. The Weston Creek grant was once held by Captain Edward Weston the Superintendent of the Hyde Park Convict Barracks, Sydney. Streets in Weston are named after artists.

Weston contains the central shopping area of the Weston Creek district, which includes the Cooleman Court shopping centre. Other facilities in the Weston Creek centre include a post office, petrol station, restaurants, clubs, real estate agents and many other specialty shops.

Deakin Volcanics green grey and purple rhyodacite mostly covers Weston. Deakin Volcanics green grey, purple and cream rhyolite outcrop between Parkinson St and Namatjira Drive and form a large outcrop in the park to the east of Cooleman Court. A band of pink and green rhyolitic instrusive porphyry fault uplifted on the southern side runs across Weston from west to east. Deakin Volcanics red-purple and green grey rhyodacite with spherulitic texture is along Hindmarsh Drive on the southern border of the suburb.

All suburbs in Weston Creek have the postcode 2611. The number of people living in the district is estimated as 24,000. Weston Creek was established in the late 1960s, as a smaller offshoot of the "satellite city" in Woden Valley. Unique among Canberra districts for having only a single (public) high school. The school is called Stromlo and is in Waramanga.

There are plenty of National Parks and nature reserves around Australian Capital Territory. One place you should definitely visit is the spectacular Ginnindera Falls, just north west of Canberra. There are some beautiful gorges as well as some walking trails. You can also go walking in the Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve, south west of Canberra. You will get the opportunity to see a whole host of wildlife and animals in the nature reserve from kangaroos and koalas to emus. Further south west is the Corin Forest where you can enjoy the excitement of a bobsled ride.

The Canberra Nature Park makes a great place for walking offering several walking trails, including trails around Mt. Ainslie and Mt. Majura. If you feel like a challenging bush walk then head to the mountainous landscape of the Namadgi National Park. The National Park is home to 8 mountain peaks at a height of over 1700m. You can also camp in the area at Honeysuckle Creek, Mt. Clear and Orroral River.
